The Pure Protection line was introduced around February/March 2018 and includes sizes Newborn through size 5. Pampers Pure Protection contain NO chlorine bleaching, NO fragrances, NO parabens and NO latex. They include the use of “premium” cotton and are hypoallergenic. Pampers Pure Protection diapers do have a wetness indicator in all sizes.
Here’s my completely subjective review of the Pampers Pure Protection. These are nice and soft diapers. The outside cover of the diaper is noticeably softer than other versions of Pampers. It is still trim like Pampers diapers all are. I love the cute new prints!
I'll be dating myself here, but remember Huggies Pure and Natural diapers? These feel similar to me. Same soft idea, made with cotton.
If you’ve been following our Diaper Brand Spotlight Series, or you’ve checked out our Diaper Brand Research page, all the advertising about the Pampers Pure Protection diapers might sound familiar to you. It should. Pampers diapers were already Chlorine-free, latex-free and paraben-free. Pampers Pure Protection is still made in the USA, just like the rest of the Pampers.
They took out the fragrance (this makes me smile, because Pampers are one of the heaviest-scented diapers around, next to Luvs). Pure Protection diapers boast that they are made without the “EU 26 Allergens” which are just the chemical names for…fragrance. The Pure Protection includes 15% cotton in the outer cover. These diapers are hypoallergenic.
Try a variety of diaper brands side-by-side to find the perfect diaper for your baby. Custom Diaper Sampler Packages are available in newborn, size 1 and size 3. Pampers Pure Protection is an option in all sizes!
That is going to depend on your definition. There are many brands of “eco-friendly” diapers out there now. Your “premium” brands of diapers would be ECO by Naty, Bambo Nature, Aleva Naturals and Earth’s Best. These are really good eco-friendly diapers that contain less of the bad stuff. Next tier are the eco-friendly diapers that are more commonly available, like Seventh Generation and Babyganics. These are more of a mainstream diaper, but are a little more earth-friendly than a traditional diaper. Pampers Pure Protection might fit into that category, or they might fall just short.
Truly, these are Pampers diapers, but made from some slightly more eco-friendly materials. If you are using Pampers already, but want a more eco-friendly diaper, this is it. It should work like the Pampers that you know and love, but a little lighter on the nasty chemicals.
If you check the reviews on Amazon, they look good so far. This is a new diaper, so the reviews are just starting to roll in.
But you won't know how they work for YOUR baby until you give them a try!
